About Me

Hi All and Welcome!!!

Thank you for taking the time to help me celebrate my passion for beauty.  I’m so excited in starting this journey to express my love for the world of beauty and of course my life’s adventures.

I was in junior high when I first started experimenting with makeup.  I remember buying the brand Wet n Wild, the cheapest brand I could find on a junior high school allowance.  The very first time I tried it I snuck it in my bag so that I would put it on when I got to school and of course take it off before I left so that my parents would not see me with in on, particularly my mother who was extremely strict and thought I shouldn’t start wearing makeup til I was 18.  I think I was 13 at the time.  I was curious so I tried it and asked my best friend what she thought and she just looked at me with the look of shock on her face.  She said it looks good, but it’s so much.  Which made me think, oh no I look like I clown!  Which was probably true since I had no experience at all.  But just watching my mom put hers on.  Lil knowing that there are shades that can be too dark or too bright for a person.  Needless to say that was the end of that.

Then I started again when I was 18 years old, with a little help from mom of course, I started trying brands like Estee Lauder, Clinique and Lancome.  As well as some drug store brands such as L’oreal.  No sooner than later I would come to find that I would be allergic to some products.  With my skin being so sensitive, I was hesitant to try them at times.  But that all changed when I started using MAC, and that was it.  Every product I tried from MAC was a success.  Whoo Hoo!!! I thought, and decided that was the only brand I was going to use.  And it was true, for the next 19 years, I was truly a devoted MAC addict.

A couple of years ago I decided to venture out and just out of the blue, start watching youtube videos to get some ideas on what other brands are out there.  I found Tarte, It Cosmetics and Mally Cosmetics.  Boy, was I in makeup heaven when I found out that a lot of people are buying these cosmetics from QVC, which is totally amazing.  Buying certain makeup products like foundation, blush, or eyeshadow came with a brush to apply them!  Jackpot!!!  From there I was hooked and always looked forward to their “Today’s Special Value” kits.  Always a great buy, so many products for a great price that can’t be beat.

Then a year ago I struck gold!!!  I came across a blogger that did reviews on korean makeup and skincare.  Got me quite intrigued and started to really looking more closely into it.  I discovered that their prices are so much cheaper and have read many success stories with their skin products and makeup and is definitely making their way here to the United States.

You can now see that Sephora is starting to sell these korean beauty products such as TONYMOLY.  Target selling Laneige and Mizon and Urban Outfitters are selling quite a bit of korean brands on their website as well.  I am so happy to hear that the actual stores are here in the US. Especially in New York and California such as TONYMOLY, SKINFOOD and THEFACESHOP.

I definitely enjoy trying out different products whether it be foundation, face cream, or even hand creams.  I know I still have the risk of them not meshing well with me but that’s a chance I have to take, that’s life.  My curiosity and enjoyment for trying out products outweighs the risks.  With a little caution, of course.  I am so glad that I decided to let go and venture out to try different brands.  I never realized that there are so much more out there and so constant with new products.

So, my mission is to bring my own opinions, my own reviews, of what I think about these beauty products.  Hoping to help the world out there discover new and maybe not so new products, and enjoy my fun experiences with life and beauty.  Please join this newbie with her new adventure, blogging.
